Exciting News for the Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado: Workforce Development Committee Receives Enterprise Zone Project Status

We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for the Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado (NoCo HBA). Our dedicated Workforce Development Committee has recently been granted Enterprise Zone Project status by Larimer County. This designation not only recognizes our unwavering commitment to nurturing the future construction workforce but also opens up new opportunities for our supporters and community partners.

The Enterprise Zone Program, initiated by the State of Colorado, aims to foster economic and community development in specific locations. By receiving project status, our Workforce Development Committee's Careers in Construction program is now recognized as a vital contributor to the economic growth and vitality of Larimer County. This status not only highlights the importance of our mission but also significantly enhances the incentives for our donors.

One of the most compelling benefits of this new status is the Contribution Tax Credit. Donors who contribute to the activities of our Workforce Development Committee in Larimer County can now receive a substantial tax advantage. For every monetary donation made, donors are eligible for a 25% tax credit toward their Colorado state income taxes ($250 donation minimum). This is a big opportunity for our supporters to make their contributions go further, maximizing the impact of their generosity.

Our Workforce Development Committee has been at the forefront of providing essential resources and programs to local schools and educational institutions. We offer comprehensive curriculum and teacher training, supply building materials, and facilitate certifications, including the Department of Labor recognized OSHA 10-hour construction safety training. Our volunteer programs have been instrumental in presenting career pathways, technical skills, and providing actual employment opportunities in the construction industry. This new Enterprise Zone Project status will enable us to expand and enhance these initiatives significantly, reaching even more students and schools.

We believe this development is a game-changer for our community. The increased support and incentives will allow us to extend our reach and deepen our impact. Our efforts in engaging students through activities like job shadowing, resume writing, mock interviews, and apprenticeships will be bolstered. We will also be able to strengthen our liaison role with local schools, acting as a bridge between the construction industry and future workforce.

We encourage our members and the broader community to take advantage of this unique tax incentive. Your contributions are not just donations; they are investments in the future of our industry and community. By supporting our Workforce Development Committee, you are helping to shape the next generation of construction professionals.

This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with the Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado. We are proud to be recognized as an Enterprise Zone Project and are excited about the opportunities this status presents. We look forward to continuing our work in developing a skilled, competent, and ready workforce for the construction industry.

Seed treatment is a crucial agricultural practice that involves applying chemical, biological, or physical agents to seeds before planting to protect them from pests, diseases, and unfavorable soil conditions.
