NoCo HBA Letter to Fort Collins Loveland Water District

January 14, 2021

To the Board Members of the Fort Collins Loveland Water District:

The Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado thanks you for the recent changes you made to the water supply requirement. Changing the requirement for multi-family units from 0.4AF/unit down to .32AF/unit will put parts of Fort Collins, Loveland, Timnath, Windsor and Larimer County in line with most of the other water districts. This change will reduce water payments by about 20%, which is a huge benefit to the residents of these communities and our membership, who both live and work in the area.

As members of the building industry, we understand that water is one of Colorado’s most valuable resources. We also know that water supply issues are complex and have several important stakeholders. We appreciate your efforts in making a positive change for our community.

Our members are dedicated to raising the profile of the homebuilding industry and helping our community thrive. We advocate for the causes we care about and draw on the expertise of our many experienced members to educate ourselves about important issues. Our membership includes the best of Colorado’s building industry. Partnering with regulatory agencies helps us better understand the issues facing Coloradans and allows us to provide valuable expert input on these issues.

We appreciate your efforts to help Northern Colorado homeowners and look forward to working with you in the future.

Thank you, Dan Ormesher

NoCo HBA Chair
