REMODELERS COUNCIL

The Remodelers Council implements programs and services for the Remodeler and Associate Members of NoCo HBA. The Council focuses on community outreach and member education. This council is affiliated with the NAHB Remodelers Council.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides education on remodeling issues, opportunities and topics to remodeler and associate members

  • Provides networking opportunities for members involved in remodeling

  • Participates in association activities, such as the Home Show, fundraisers, etc.

  • Supports association government affairs activities and monitors those issues that have an impact on remodelers; works with the Government Affairs Committee to resolve those issues

  • Encourages membership in the association and council

  • Oversees the recognition program for outstanding remodeling projects

  • Generates new services to increase and retain members in the remodeling market

  • Contributes articles to association publications on remodeling topics

  • Acts as a liaison to the national NAHB Remodelers and encourages local members to access the products, services and benefits it provides

  • Promotes a positive professional image through public relations efforts through the media

  • Educates homeowners about remodeling through workshops, brochures, weekly newspaper columns and radio talk shows

  • Promotes members in the council by distributing directories and participating in public events such as the Home Show and Parades of Remodeled Homes

  • Promotes the NAHB Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), Graduate Master Remodeler (GMR) and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation programs
