Zero Carbon Construction Code Training

Hosted by the City of Fort Collins, this training will provide an overview of the Energy Code Performance Path to Zero Carbon Building and what it means for new commercial and residential construction.

Attendees will gain insight into how these updated code provisions shift traditional compliance metrics from cost-based modeling to energy use per square foot and carbon emissions (CO₂e) targets. The session will walk through how the Performance Path applies across project types, what’s required for compliance, and how to navigate the updated approach in practice.

This training is designed for builders, developers, and industry professionals looking to better understand upcoming energy code requirements and their impact on project planning and delivery.
