I'm the co-founder and CEO of Trade Agent. We turn a stack of subcontractor invoices into a bank-ready draw package in about 60 seconds.
Here's the problem in residential construction: there's project management software (fine), and there's your bookkeeper (also fine), but in between those two things is YOU. Matching invoices to cost codes by hand. Calling a sub because his invoice doesn't make sense. Reformatting everything so the bank will accept it. Chasing the one lien waiver that's holding up the entire draw.
That gap eats 5+ days a month for most builders I've talked with. Not metaphorically...five actual days.
Then there's the money that just walks off. A verbal yes at a walkthrough. Four small change orders nobody wrote down. $31,000 invisible by draw time. And it's never the big stuff, either - nobody forgets to bill a $30K add-on.

Before this I spent 13 years in B2B software. I was CRO at Cloud Coach through its exit to Main Capital Partners, then ran the Salesforce practice at Canidium (3x growth in year one).
Construction is a $14 trillion industry that still runs on phone calls and PDFs that look like they were faxed in 1997. It felt like problem worth solving, and since I'm a fan of tech that's the approach we took.
