NoCo HBA Sales & Marketing Council Explores the Future of Homebuilding Through AI, Innovation, and Immersive Technology

The future of homebuilding is evolving quickly, and the NoCo HBA Sales & Marketing Council brought members together on July 22 at Projective Studios in Loveland for an inspiring conversation about how technology, storytelling, and innovation are transforming the way homes are designed, marketed, and experienced.

The Q3 Sales & Marketing Council Quarterly Meeting focused on AI, Immersive Visualization, Marketing, and the Buyer Experience, bringing together builders, marketers, designers, and industry professionals to explore the tools and strategies shaping the next generation of residential construction.

Hosted by Projective Studios, attendees experienced firsthand how immersive technology can change the way buyers visualize a home before it is ever built. The evening began with networking, food, and an exclusive look at Projective Studios’ capabilities, including projected floor plans from Lone Creek Custom Homes that allowed guests to experience a custom home design in a completely new way.

Experiencing the Home Before It’s Built

One of the evening’s highlights was seeing how immersive visualization can bridge the gap between imagination and reality.

David Quackenbush, Owner of Lone Creek Custom Homes and President of the NoCo HBA, shared how visualization tools can help clients better understand floor plans, room sizes, layouts, and overall flow before construction begins.

By bringing plans to life at full scale, builders can create a more collaborative experience with homeowners, helping reduce uncertainty, improve communication, and guide clients through important design decisions.

“Helping buyers understand a home before it is built creates a stronger connection between the homeowner, builder, and the final product,” was a key theme throughout the discussion.

Marketing, Storytelling & Reaching Today’s Buyers

The conversation continued with insights from Judith Moak of Crestone Digital Media Solutions and Parade of Homes Co-Chair, who shared how storytelling, digital strategy, and emerging technology are changing the way buyers discover and connect with builders.

Today’s buyers are researching homes differently than ever before. From AI-powered searches to digital content and targeted marketing, companies must think strategically about how their brand appears online and how they tell their story.

Key discussion topics included:

  • How AI is influencing the way buyers search for builders, communities, and products

  • Creating digital content that builds trust and engagement

  • Using geofencing and audience targeting to reach prospective buyers

  • The importance of storytelling in creating memorable customer experiences

A Look Ahead: The Future of the Buyer Experience

Moderated by Kristin from Capital Countertops, the panel brought together perspectives from builders, marketers, and technology experts to discuss where the industry is headed.

Panelists explored questions such as:

  • How have buyer expectations changed?

  • Where can immersive visualization improve the decision-making process?

  • How can builders make sure their companies are found in an increasingly AI-driven world?

  • Which technologies will truly improve the customer experience?

A common takeaway from the discussion was that technology is most powerful when it enhances—not replaces—the relationships, expertise, and personal guidance that define the homebuilding industry.
